Spend 5+ years scrounging up parts to restore (actually still an ongoing project) a 23 y/o Kawi to at least a decently presentable/rideable condition, have Mark Wing perform his magic on the bodywork, and here is the result.

Take same bike to "Taco Thursday Bike Night" here...

Yes, that's KZJohn and his KZ900 in the forefront of the pic. B)

Pit it (with only about $1,500 tied up in it and with a 2 y/o paint job no less) against about 15 or so newer and a whole LOT more expensive V-twins, and walk away at the end of the night with this! :woohoo:

The first non-physically competitive trophy/plaque I've ever won too!

Kudos to everyone on KZr for helping me sort out issues I had with it, and especially to Mark Wing for his outstanding painting talent - it wouldn't have been possible it w/o any of you! :)

Love it - can we see a better picture of it?
Don't take photos with the sun in front of you - shoot with it at your back and the light will be much easier!

Pics of the bike or the plaque? :P  ;)
Here's a link to a few more of the bike:
ZN700 pics
The pics of the plaque were taken last night around 9:45 p.m. on the kitchen floor, it was a PITA to getting the lighting just right w/o having it reflect off of the holographic images of the chopper and restaurant on it. :S

Thanks for the congrats guys, I appreciate it a lot. :)

Dude, way to go. That's outstanding, got to love showing up those V-twins. I hope to win something with that frame you gave me. Rick you know I'll paint your Z1 for you.
