Hooked up with a friend that I hadn't rode with in almost 20 years. Rode up to Lake Freeman just to get a bite to eat. On the way back hit some twisties, having a blast and pushing it pretty good when I got on the pipe in a right hander at about 60 mph, went from turning to going straight right now, managed to keep it off the pavement, got it up with just enough time to get some braking done before I shot off and embankment into a bean field, rode it out and back to the road, took off like nothing happened. Stopped about 15 miles later and had a beer, and I don't drink! All in all a good ride and now he wants to go with me on my leg of the relay. Got to love it!
I think I'm going to look for an underslung pipe now. B)

Been there ! I did a "header stand" one day and found myself off through the ditch, navigating through mail boxes and parked cars, those are up to reflexes and divine intervention for the outcome....truly a nerve shaker...glad you rode it out ok.

Glad you held on to her and came out of it ok!! Having had a similar hair raising (shedding) experience with my old BSA I am always amazed when I see folks asking "how can I lower my bike by 2 or 3 inches?" Clearly that haven't had "bean field" training. Ed

I had an Orange Grove training exercise similar to your bean field training. :) My problem was I drank my beer first.

Done another 200 plus miles today, no bean fields! but I did hit the pipe again a couple times. I've got to address this! I love cornering this bike but know it isn't the smartest thing to do but it do handle. B)
