Jeeze how do you guys in the deep SW take this?
It's like 92-98 here in the Denver area and this afternoon, I lasted a whopping 24 miles "ROUND TRIP" on the KZ with my light weight summer leather jacket and light driving gloves.

They said it was 119 yesterday. My indoor/outdoor thermometer said 122 in the shade. I did my shopping early and home by 9:00. It was still HOT. Today it's 109 and will be in that range the rest of this and next month. House bound for the duration. :(

I use to work in that crap stacking. (doing rafters, beams, joists, etc.) At least I was in the air. Those poor slobs framing were dying.
It was 121 and the sprinklers would come on in the golf course and I'd run through them like a kid. I was in my 20's....I WAS a kid. :woohoo: Got overheated once. That did it for me. Can't take the heat anymore.

I live in Tucson AZ. It's been as high as 117 recently. 3 days of over 110F his past weekend. I've ridden in 105 temps and as long as your moving it's not so bad. I do wear a mesh jacket and riding jeans. We know hot weather. It is hotter in Las Vegas. 120f is not unheard of. I've lived there too.

I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress

The last time my wife and I rode through Kansas in summer we would stop at every rest area and walk through the sprinklers until soaked. It worked for a little while.....

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

Wednesday night we had tornado's touch down North and South of us with in a few miles of our house.
The next morning we rode to a camp ground out side of Lacrosse WI, it was cold (in the 60's) and a little rainy at the border but dried up as we started to head West.
Friday was a beautiful cloudy day around 75-80 deg. we rode along the Big River (Mississippi) almost to St. Paul and then turned right and got lost on the country roads for the rest of the day.
Saturday's weather up there called for rain in the afternoon an a temp in the 90's so we packed up and rode the Big River Road South through Minnesota and Iowa and made it home by 8 pm.
Today looks like rain here but I hope to get the grass cut before it does.
No urge to ride today, after 896.3 miles our butts are still sore.

Been extra hot around here too lotta 90s with high humidity ...... storm knocked down a tree branch and tore the electric off the side of the house and found out the neighbor is not responsible for it (owner and we don't get along on top of it) and with a 1,000 deduct I had to cough up 500 bucks...... a week later a wind storm worse than the first came through but didn't cause any damage..... was watching holding my breath and expecting it to happen again.

900 mile wow Blue looked like a nice trip....... 200 to 300 miles is the longest I've ever gone through the lower part of Wisconsin.

Its quite easy to get heat exhaustion on a bike when its over 100 degrees, the air is imparting heat into you rather than removing it at those temps, you will actually be hotter in the wind than standing still. It happened to me once, my vision starting going black on the edges and i felt like crap. I pulled over and jumped in a river, instantly felt better.
