Josh, paint job looks good. that blue looks real deep in the sun.I just went thru the same thing with my paint job.I think youve gained enough confidence and hard knox experience to make it come out good.you know what to do. and not to do.congrats.so are you done or are you planning more mods?oh yea you had better treat the wife right on her birthday. she seems to be pretty understanding with 2 project bikes and a paint booth in the garage.ha ha

I vote yes on the stripe....I like it.

Is there a chance you could photograph the mounting plate for the gages?

That is something I am struggling with right now.

Thanks!!

Here you go bud:

The plates under the upper clamp are 1/8" mild steel. The smaller tubes are 5/8" IIRC and the larger tubes are 7/8" cut from the end of an old, bent LTD bar. I'm using the standard rubber bushings, and the bolt for the handlebar risers holds the bracket in place. Note the large chamfer on the down tubes. This is necessary to clear the neck.

I took the easy way out. i just had the gauge mounts cut off the stock kz tree and welded onto the new ZX9 tree.
