Josh is correct, the steering stops bolt on the lower triple at the holes in the same pic located on either side of the stem.
I don't know how much drop I have, I'd have to measure it. Looking at the top profile of the upper clamp it doesn't look like a whole lot. Looking at the bottom profile it looks like more. I thought I remember Irishwill saying 1"?

Looks like about 1/2" from where I'm sitting, but I'm not sure how much influence there is from the underside of the top clamp.

I just measured the actual drop, and it is 1/2". I reread Irishwills 1st post in his gullwing thread, and he did say a 1" drop. I'll have to ask him....

How does the thickness of the new clamp compare to the stock GSXR clamp at the steering stem?

I'm not sure, I'll have to measure the stocker when I get home. Ben did eliminate one of the spanner nuts under to top triple, so we shave some right there. The new clamp is approximately 7/8" thick at the stem.

Alright! I found an anodizer not to far away. Their price was great and they were recommended by the shop that blasted my engine cases. 2 day turnaround too, so in Monday morning, out Tuesday afternoon (or so). Watch out, roller coming next week :woohoo:

On a side note, has anyone ever ordered hardware from Bikebandit? I placed an order for some bike specific nuts and bolts a couple weeks ago. I haven't heard a damn thing since.......

Their M.O. seems to be everything is available on the website until they take a few months to find out that the part is no longer available from suppliers. Some people have great luck, some don't. Seems to depend on what you order.

Also, a buddy of mine had his card compromised and that was the only place he had used it at. Not saying it will happen, just an FYI.
