Davido, did you ever figure out what caused the bubbling on your frame?

No idea about the bubbles.I thought that maybe I hadnt cleaned the frame enough ( I know I cleaned the bollocks out of it) but it bubbled in a few areas and in most of them it disappeared as the paint dried,so,I dont know. I reckon it was probably the paint. I can live with it as is.
Ive been rooting through my boxes of bits trying to get all the engine mounting parts together. Of course theyre spread all over the place!!
I remember taking a few bits to a local plater to get them re-zinced. He did a really crappy job actually,didnt even clean them properly.You can still see bits of rubber attached;

All the rubber mounts are pretty much knackered but Ive got to reuse them as new ones are bloody expensive.

A question here.One side has the (badly re-zinced) cup type washer. then the rubber shock absorbing washer type thing, then should there be a second large flat washer on the outside??

There is a bit of a recess there. It looks like something should go in it???? Any help appreciated.
Im now at the point where I start asking 'Why didnt I take MORE photos,during the breakdown?'

P.S. Yes,thanks KZQ .

Hey vince,thanks. I would have put the cup the wrong way around. Yours looks a bit different to mine though.From what I make out you have
the block,the cup,the damper, then something quite thick? Is that rubber or a chunky steel washer? Then the mounting plate ,then another something chunky(rubber?steel?) then the nut.
Here is what I have so far;

So far so good, my rubber damper sits again a wide flange on the frame, looks like a washer welded on the frame side facing the engine block. Hope that is clear as mud.LOL.

Witness marks. The bubbling could have been caused by humidity. That guy with the foul mouth and bad attitude or people like him won't stand a chance here anymore. BOOT. "Another one bites the dust." :evil:
