Pegs moved back 2-3 inches. Much better...

Had to drill and tap the sprocket cover and install the shift pivot stud. Had lots of fun with that little project.

Final tidbit is some new shocks.

Got lucky and found a great deal on these. Had to make some new bushings but that was easy enough.

Since finishing this bike I sold my (previously) prized Suzuki GS1000S. This Kawasaki is just so much more fun to ride.

The end! B)

Great work Nessim!
It rings a bell to me when you say a kz750 is more fun to ride than a GS1000...

Heavier. I liked it, but like the KZ more.

A photo of two Suzuki's I restored.

Dr. Gamma wrote: I love what you did with your KZ750E. I followed your build for a long time. Congrats on making BOTM!!!! I built a KZ750E back in the early 80's. I used many of the same parts you did. The GPz feetpegs, and the oil cooler were the same exact parts that I used on my E model. Your build brought back more than a few memories.

I road raced mine in a few WERA endurance races back then. I parked it when the Honda Interceptor came out in '83. After that it became my primary streetbike. Gold wheels were my trademark back then as you can see in the one photo.

Gold wheels eh? Seems fitting for the era.
