1977 KZ1000 Restomod

So, I have a few questions for you guys...
- The rotor I was talking about in my last post is pictured below. It fits onto the 900A4/1000A1 crank - the starter clutch ends up in the same position as with the original rotor. There is no pin for the starter clutch housing but I figure the three M8 bolts should be fine. I added some photos of the markings, does anyone know what model this is from?
- It looks like the rotor I have has been scraping along the side of the aluminium adapter plate from my last post. Given the number of balancing divets I assume it's pretty assymetrical. It doesn't look too bad though (was scraping against aluminium), seems more like the outside has been polished up a bit by the adapter  . Thoughts? Still usable without balancing?
- The bottom gear in the oil pump looks to be symmetrical. On one pump there were markings on the back of both gears so I knew which way round they went (see the photos below). On the other pump there were no markings. Does it matter which way round I assemble it?
- Lastly, I found a random bolt in a box of parts, does anyone recognize it?

The marks on the oil pump gears are only imprints from the lathe tool (Stirnseitenmitnehmer).

 
 

Thanks. I thought it might be from a 750 but they don't have the threads for the starter clutch. I guess our friend at RF drills and taps them.

Thanks for the info on the gears. The bottom one must be symmetrical then. I guess they changed the manufacturing process sometime between the two pumps.

If the gears are identical then stopping them around would be a good thing as you would switch the "thrust" to the virgin side of the teeth

The question came about due to me holding the gear in my hand and asking myself which way around it was when I disassembled it  guess I can't lose either way.

Thanks guys. This is the third seat this guy's done for me and I've been more than happy with his work. 

I'm hoping to get the bottom end together in the next couple of days (waiting on the zinc plated bolts) then I can start putting everything together for a final mock up. Hope to have that done before I go away at the end of next week. After that I need to make a couple of brackets and then tear everything down and get started on the painting.

That seat is a thing of beauty!  I had a custom seat maker do one for my street tracker project.  He sent me a sneak peek pic right before he shipped it.  Got me all excited!  The delivered product went beyond my expectations.

So I was hoping to get a fair bit done on this build over the last week or so. I still haven't got the crankcase bolts back from plating so this is as far as I got  Without the engine done I can't get the exhaust mount or wiring finished.
