I went thru a bin that has most of the parts for this bike, found a few good bits but was missing some stuff I need to improve the build over stock.
I had to buy a blade fuse holder and a Fiamm horn, I need that horn because they fit perfect up under the steering neck gussets (oil cooler) I also need to purchase a lower than stock handle bar, looking at a superbike type bar.
I also found all the rear wheel spacers so I can make drawings to fabricate them out of alloy (weight savings)
Not sure what to do about the foot pegs just yet. Will put the stock ones on the scale and see how heavy they are. No hills or wicked corners to burn up around here so may go to a similar design as my drag bike, but with a pivot option.
I found the rear wheel axle and swing arm pivot bolt, not sure if there is anything to do there. The rear brake arm rod may have to be put on a scale, not sure if there is potential weight savings there as well.

Noticed this picture of the new "dash" on my drag bike in a folder on my PC. I put one of those 60 mm tachs on it when I got rid of the battery. With the magneto installed I went back to a mechanical gauge and air shifter parts instead of the Dyna/MPS electronic shift minder, RPM limiter, air solenoid/kill etc.
Just shows how tiny these cheap gauges are compared to the Kawi gauges.

I received the majority of the parts I purchased recently for this project. The GPZ305 fender is going to work out perfect for this build, as its just the right size.
I just got around to testing the front brake set I bought, holds pressure with no leaks so that is good. The pads are shot so have to order a set.
The main reason for going with the modern parts was increased braking power. I do need to see if I can dig out the stock brakes to see how much of a weight difference these parts make, but no rush.
