Long time gone

Hello folks! If you remember me, I just wanted to stop in. Yesterday, I sold my bike to raise money for my new Christian rock band Project 3:16. Within a couple of hours, I found and bought a conversion van to haul us around in while we tow our gear behind. I asked for and got 1200 for my bike no haggling even attempted. It took six hours on Criagslist and that was that. If I get another project bike, I'll see you guys then! It was always a pleasure sharing ideas with you guys.
Ride safe!

God bless!

-Ron

Good luck with the band Ron. You know, just because you don't have a bike anymore, you are still welcome here anyway.
Play well.

Thanks guys! Yeah, It's kindof a wild ride...getting some gigs, sortof hanging on to see what's next. We're playing at a "open band" night which is actually by invitation. It's sponsored by a Christian record label in Kansas City. That will be next Thursday night, and could lead who knows where. At very least they will cut us a live demo. We just need the van more than I need to ride...tough decision, but it feels right now that it's all done. Yesterday was a little rough, though. :(

Ride safe!

God bless!

Hey good luck on the band. That sounds like a great adventure. Wait that's a Steven Curtis Chapman song. Oh well. Hopefully you will score another project soon!

Thanks! Yea, and we have prayer needs, obviously...price of gas is certainly always one, although the hearts of the people have been moved to cover that so far (no big surprize, eh?) Many things are going on simultaneously, and the pending list is firming up just right for my weird work schedule ( no big surprize, eh?) Thanks for the encouragement!

God bless!

Thanks! Our financial needs are few, except for expenses....to and fro. Our drummer, DOES need gig bags for his kit, though ( he has no funds for that.) Other than that, we are pretty set on equipment for awhile...some unbelievable stories on how that happened...stuff too weird to make up and clearly the hand of God blessing us. We are poor, but making it anyway.

God bless!

Ron. Nice to see you are out there and alive and kicking. I remember the saga as you built that distinctive tailpiece on the 650.
Best wishes on the band project.

I'll be honest, after the final wash and running up the street to warm it up, I almost didn't answer the phone when Delmar called to say they were in town...waiting for me to come get them. I got bit by the riding bug again real hard that day...But we need a gig-mobile more than I "need" to ride. Seems odd, but right. The details of the van purchase are pretty supernatural, as well...it turns out the guy would've traded for my bike, so I would've ended up with the van even if Delmar was a no-show ! As it iss, the bike sale gave me spare cash for licensing and maybe even a new amp for our subwoofers...which are another long supernatural story as well.

You guys would've loved the looks on the other guys faces in the band when they found out why My son and I were so late for practice! Definitely a "needs of the many" situation for you star trek fans.

Ride safe...God bless!

So, where can a guy here some of this music? We'll be praying for the adventures of the band, and don't be a stranger.
