Glad to hear you're okay. That had to be an intense buzz there for a few minutes. Like it says in the commercials, life comes at you fast.
Too bad about the tank ding. The rest can be fixed fairly easily, but not so much for a tank ding.
Maybe you can post some pix.

Skyman, you had better luck than I did but we'll both recover. Sorry about the bike. It tears me up to go out to the garage and see the ole gal all beat up. Glad everything turned out ok for ya.

Wow very glad you are ok, it is good that you kept your head enough to ditch at least instead of roll out into traffic.

i'v done the same thing, well sort of.
i too forgot to pump the brakes after removing the rear wheel, luckily i had'nt touched the front ones, scared the crap out of me.
glad your alright, hopefully your bike will be too.

I'm glad your OK too, for your first one it wasn't as bad as it could have been. At least you had the time to go for the bushes and not the intersection, that could have killed you instead of some road rash.
