That reminds me:
Some of the best advice given to me over 30 years ago:
when you see them approach the intersection don't plan on them pulling in front of you but be prepared to avoid them if they do. 
I don't remember who told me, but it's in the back of my mind whenever I come to an intersection especially if the light just changed.

Picked up this Harley guy on 1000 Palms CYN. He couldn't catch up until we got to the light. Gave me a friendly wave as he turned off.
