As far as carbs go. Just ask Johnny’s what they did to prep the bike. He’s got a good reputation, I’m sure he wants you to have a good experience and set the bike up correctly, unless you opted out. For less than $20 you can get a clear tube tool and test the float levels yourself. Simple,Simple,Simple. Then if you think there’s horse power left on the table start tuning. I’d suggest a Dyna S ignition and playing with spark plug gaps, fuel octane, carb jets. You can do a lot with what you have and be far less than a set of VM 29 Smoothbore carbs. If your hell bent on just replacing the carbs a nice jetted set of 1980 kz1000 28mm carbs with accelerator pump are a good bang for your buck upgrade. It been said but worth mentioning to a new bike owner. An engine is a simple air pump. The more air you can get in and out the better the pump works.

If you concerned about fuel leaking or issues arising from the bike leaning on the side stand. Two ways to overcome that. One would be a simple wood block under the side stand, or as I do at the end of every ride good or bad and maybe I will get schooled on this , but I turn off the fuel as I’m pulling in the driveway. I let the bike run while I’m opening the garage and will stop the engine as soon as I hear the first miss or backfire. Now the fuel is out of the lines if I want to take the tank off and the level is low enough in the bowl to not have to worrie about fuel seeping through the casket from the left lean.

Yeah yeah Johnny does have a good reputation he I'm not sure what the problem could be I mean got a little hesitation to it wanted to pass that it's fine
And it only spits through the carbs once and awhile at lower rpms. It also has an open header on it. Gonna get on the list for a chrome jerker. No one seems to know what kind of header is on the bike now. And its black. Just doesn't look right with the chrome engine

Hey that's a good idea I like that are you worried ever about sucking up any dirt or anything that maybe at the bottom of the bowl when you turn the fuel off

Oh I'll so it does have a fuel filter on it right after the gas tank before it goes into the carbs sorry doing talk-to-text words aren't coming out right

Not worried about dirt in the bowl. There is a filter on the pingel petcock and also I have secondary stone type filtered up stream of the carbs. Trust me as much leaning, bouncing, and sloshing that happens during a ride the dirt, if there is already in suspension and not on the bottom of the bowl.

Got you yeah I got a pingel fuel cock to the Johnny installed I'm starting to wonder if maybe it's a no wiring or electrical issue that's intermittent because I lost my turn signals they still light up they just don't blink

That’s a good start to an upgraded fuel system. As for electrical, issues check out this site. Again Simple, Simple, Simple.

Under the left side cover is a flasher relay near the seat latch. If your TS are not flashing it a good possibility the flasher is bad. Upgrade to an electronic or LED flasher. I used this one. It even fits into the rubber mount as original

www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/flasher...nic-flasher/779/833/

Just recently I also installed the same flasher on the hazard circuit. Mind you they are silent and don’t click, just stay current on your Ginkgo Biloba prescription so you remember to turn off the TS.
