Awesome pics! The ride with the water on one side and the rocks on the other looks like a real beauty.

Met up with Rob on Monday morning to take the "hand off"! Thanks for coming 1/2 way buddy!
I've got some pics but no time today to post 'em up. Maybe tonight. I'm in the middle of a quandary, as I'm waiting for M357.5 (Barry) to get back to me. If I can, I'm up for a meet with him before dropping the flag in the hands of kawboy74 (Dave). I just hope we can do this without taking too much time.
Later folks!

Good to see you again Rob and good pics!
Here's one from me!
I didn't keep the flag very long. I tried to get hold of M357.5 (Barry), but failed. My hand off happened last night in Oakville. I road down to kawboy75's (Dave) house and we had a great time yaking in the driveway and garage for a couple of hours. I think I got to meet the whole family too with his wife, son and daughter coming out to see what was going on! Wonderful people! That's the best part of this hobby! Great people that we meet!
Check out the Z1!! It's a dream machine! He has an LTD in the garage that's just as spectacular! :woohoo:
As you may have noticed, I rode the h2 to meet Rob, but got the KayZed ready in time to meet Dave! This is KZRider after all!
It was a privilege to carry the flag and get my name on it. I know so many more would like to have this opportunity, but schedules will be difficult to link up everyone to the relay.
Steady on Dave! I know the flag is in good hands!

So David (Kawboy74) and I met at the Brown Dog Coffee Shop in downtown (very small) Paris Ontario earlier this evening and we passed a very pleasant couple of hours on the patio overlooking the Grand River where one can watch people falling out of canoes on a nice summers day
We talked about a lot of stuff but mostly KZs and bikes in general. David's Z1 is just absolutely amazing and I wish I had more time and more daylight for a better look and better pics. By the time we finished yacking it was almost dark and had started to rain so we headed out to the street for the "Photo Op' and corralled a couple of kids to take the pics.... and here's the anectdote I promised in the Leg 2 post - One of the kids said Hey my dad and I just picked up a KZ550 in a barn and are working on restoring it.
Needless to say we told him where to find the best information and young man I hope we see you and your dad here
It was great to meet you David.
Now lets see if I can link to Photobucket for the pics

Kudos to our Canadian brothers for keeping everything moving so fast! And some great scenic pictures a well. Flag is looking like its filling up fast. I will guess the front will fill up before the second leg is completed. Can we get a close up of the flag? Would be fun to read some of the entries on it.

Re: NORTH AMERICAN RELAY RIDE PHOTO ALBUM

I set out this morning heading west to meet Jerry (Bear1) in Port Huron MI.
Made a quick stop on the outskirts of London Ontario for photo and a silent minute in memory of Jack.
I added his name to the flag later as this is the part he would have ridden had he lived.
Weather was nice and the backroads beyond London were great. I had forgotton how slow crossing the Bluewater bridge into the US can be with long lineups for customs and imigration. So slow in fact that midway across I had time to pull out the camera and get a quick shot of Lake Huron to the north as it flows into the St Clair and later the Detroit River just beneath. I figure I spent 45 minutes crossing that bridge.
Finall met Bear1 at a nearby mall and handed over the journal and flag but not before adding my name to the flag and making a brief entry in the journal. Got a couple of quick shots in the parking lot.
The "official" hand off photo taken underneath the bridge at Port Huron MI with Ontario Canada in the background.
The forecast was for thunderstorms so time to head back across the river and head for home.
Much faster returning to Canada and made it home safe and dry by about 6pm.
Total Round trip 345 kms..... My ass is sore
I must say that initially I was apprehensive about doing this but in the end it was a really good experience and I was very pleased with the way the bike ran. These old motors really were built to last.
From this point on it will be nice to follow the flags progress as one who has participated rather than one who is still waiting.
Have fun guys and ride safe.

Way to go John, great effort! As much as the anticipation was on getting it here and moving it along, it went way too fast without enough time to spend with everyone. At least those of us local can get together now as friends from the experience. I think Jeffasaki deserves a big thanks from the Canadian contingent for his huge sacrifice in getting the flag into the country. (I wish I had the time to have sacrificed for a ride like that!)
Keep it moving safely guys!
