I've been using this thread to keep a record of building
my little bike, what I've put into it and the fun I've had with it.
Everything I've done to this bike since the first time at the track
is in here somewhere.

1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.

I did get some shit done on the bike after work today.
I stripped every wire out of the bike, pulled the stock
ign. pickup and rotor off, removed rear inner fender.

1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.

Billet alum. rotor.

Ruff cut of the new inner fender.

what size cams are you running? are your valves oversized? what are you current quarter mile times?

Right now it has the stock GPz cams and stock size valve's.
!/8 mile time's work out to about an 11.55.1/4 mile.

That's pretty good considering no slick air shifter stock cams and valves. I think your riding that bike pretty damn good. have you thought about what size cams to run? These kawasaki's really work good running staggard cams.

Dave as for cam's I'm thinking 395/260@050 from webcam's.
I plan on spraying this motor so thinking a little milder cam and
not beat on the valve train that hard.

Did get to play with it today got the new inner fender ruff cut and mounted
stll need to clean up the cut's.

Was cool meeting up at the show I saw you're post
on the turbo site glad you had a nice time here in Tx.

Got about 90% of the new wiring harness done last night.
Ign. switch wired, start button wired, charging system wired,
headlight wired,
Still need to do new starter to solenoid cable, a few ground's
connect the rear light's then finish setting up the new ign.

I got the harness done fired the bike and all the smoke stayed in so we're good.

Loaded the bike and all the shit to camp at the track tonight
and get some test pass's before tomorrow's all bike race so checked the web site
and they cancelled tonight's racing because of a chance of storm's later today.

original owner of a 1984 gpz 750
1985 turbo 750 stock, being restored.
1984 gpz 750 with 810 cc wiesco's megacycle cams(471-10) 34 mm flatslides v&h pipe ported head dyna ignition. bottom end, crank case from turbo 750 and sprockets.
