This thread rocks! Loudhvx, you are the man!!! I have a background in aviation, including a few years doing complex avionics installs. I still look at the 1981 kz750 ltd I have partially torn apart and shake my head at all the wires. I am confident that I can eliminate most of them, but second guess myself. After perusing this thread, I am not worried. B)

Yeah, it's not too hard once you break it down into smaller chunks. If you need a diagram for a bare bones system let me know. It's mostly cut and paste for me, at this point.

If its not too much of a hassle, I would love it if you could make me one! or Repost one I missed if there is one already.

Im running a 76 KZ750B Twin.

I want it kick only, headlight on all the time, no gauges, no idiot lights, no signals, as bare as it can get and still run.

Ive had a problem with my main fuse since I got the bike, and have replaced the whole charging system, I give up on finding the short, so I am just going to make my own harness as bare bones as possible.

If it is easier, I wouldn't mind ditching the key ignition for a simple toggle switch.

Thanks!

Justin

No prob. You can use a small scooter battery if you want to reduce the battery size. I've used the battery from a Honda Spree, 50cc scooter. You can get them at some auto parts stores.
