one of those white supply 12v to the brown and the yellow when the key is turned on... the yellow should connect to the yellow red thru the connector then to the stop run switch and also power to the start button... you need to get 12v swithced power to the yellow red... the brown connects to brown and then to the horn. you should be able to connect to the brown off the ignition... do you have a meter or test light

Look at the "on" section of the chart in the green square.

I was seeing the same thing... I just wanted to test for sure that the brown looses power when the ignition is off... OP can just pull the brown for the horn and connect it to the yellow/red going to the RH controll... Thanks for the help

I think they added the yellow wire in 1979. ...maybe 1980, but probably 1979. Having the separate yellow wire for ignition made it slightly more difficult to hot-wire.

As F64 said, just connect yellow to brown. on the harness.

Once again you damn fine bunch of strangers saved my ass.. THANK YOU ALL.. for the input,, yellow on brown was spot on. Sadly enough, the first glory ride was not so great,im suresome carb tuning will solve the issues,, according to the builder, run it for a few hundred miles, then lmk,,well i have no tach or speedo ,, as he stated,, your electrical system is has too many issues for him to install a tach, speedo . As id asked him to add on,, so ill just guess what a few hundred miles are... lol,thx again my friends,, if ya need advice on adding an addition, cabin build, or hip roof framing, i got you....
