ZRX Headlight brackets(need some options) was created by Sandy
Been looking around for a set of headlight brackets for the ZRX forks(for My project).
43mm forks,btw.
I've found a couple of options, but need more.
To all You Guys that have done a front end conversion...what did You end up using for brackets?
Any ideas are welcome.
Pics?...links?
Thanks,Ya bunch of bad-ass bikers!

Buell headlight brackets were 43mm, later ones for the USD forks are 54mm

Thanks Fossil...that's a start.Any more info on those would be great,Bud.I'll do some searching on that.
I know that some other ZRX Owners have used brackets from a ZX7,among other bikes, but I'm having a bugger of a time finding anything.
I bought a set from Jeff, but I forgot to ask Him(at the time of the order)if They would fit onto a 43mm set of forks...too small, and they would probably get damaged if I tried to MAKE them fit.Others have also tried, but to no avail with those ones.
I'll look into into Buell. ...

I'm using Buell 54mm brackets on GSXR USD forks myself.

What I really want,is a billet set(unfinished) but some of the prices for those?...wholly CRAP!
A set that can be polished or chromed to look good, would be the ultimate.

The Buell headlight brackets are really nothing to get excited about - they're stamped, folded, and welded steel painted black. They're fine for me, I plan to make a Monster style headlight fairing which will hide most everything.

Ya,I spotted a pair on the bay...not what I'm after,for sure.
I was looking at these ones, but I'm not too sure about the length.I also don't really like the rubber...hmmm

I just bought a pair of 'universal' headlight brackets. Whereas not having the same bike as you, im sure they do the job. Will let you know how they are when they arrive

Where did You get them,Rob?
Do You have a link?
They're probably the same ones that I got a while back, but they won't expand to fit the 43mm forks.
Thanks,Bud.

Sandy, I was having the same dilemma as you. I also have 43mm forks and what I found is that a headlight bracket from a 900/1000 LTD bolted right up to my top triple tree.
Granted, I got very lucky early on in my project to have found a billet top triple clamp for a ZX11C that allows the use of standard handlebars. Matter of fact, I got it really cheap from Lockhart-Phillips' (LPUSA)) ebay store.
The LTD piece is black but you can get it chromed for next to nothing, then buy a chrome headlight shell and you're all set.
I hope this helps you man. Matter of fact ther's one on ebay right now.
Good Luck.

Hey Folks, I edited the pics first thinking that they were what was causing the thread to be so wide and difficult to read. Then I saw that it was the links. I fixed em using BB code. For an example just click on the URL button in the tool bar above the post message window.
Looks better now.
