If it has four bolt brake rotors, then I'll bet it's from a KZ650what kind of bike is the mag from?

Also, are you switching from a drum to disc brake at the same time? If you are you may need a different swingarm. It's not actually different, just has a different bracket which could be welded on.

I am not switching from drum to disc rear brake. My '78 KZ1000 already has a disc rear brake. I guess the simplest way to solve this would be to find out which rear mag wheel uses the same size rear axle as the '78 KZ1000 and than buy that wheel on e-bay or something...

Your 1000 and the 76-80 KZ750 twins are the only KZ's that use the 20mm rear axle, as far as I know anyway.
80 KZ750 twin has a drum brake rear mag, and 76-79 KZ750 twins have either spoke wheels (most of them) or Morris Mag wheels (a few of them), unless someone has swapped the 1000 mags onto them.
Look for KZ1000 LTD wheels.
On a side note, the KZ650 front wheel also fits the 1000's and the 750 twins.
