This is a relatively short z-bar, not ape hangers, so I think the length of wires, etc. should be ok.

On the stock bars a small hole is drilled to index the switch pods so they do not rotate. Carefully measure the pin in the switch assembly and drill a matching hole in the new bars. I think the hole size is 1/8" but check anyway.
Trust me, whoever installed those bars didn't drill anything, they cut off the pins. Everything comes apart real easily. A couple philips screws from the bottom on each switchgear and you just separate them in half and the come right off.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

If you change the riding position significantly, the weight distribution on the tires will change. This can affect handling. Sometimes slight tire pressure changes are needed.
