Z1Enterprises.com sells AllBallsRacing wheel bearing kits for a variety of bikes. The kits include the oil seals. They're nice bearings.

Heat will expand components - put a bearing designed for low-rpm, low-heat in an application with high RPM and heat and you can (will) have problems. Similarly the cages on bearings are designed to take different stress loads. You can put 4 or 5 seemingly identical bearings alongside one another and not easily be able to pick out those that'll break apart under load. Brand name is about the only way to tell.
We sell the All-Balls Brand wheel bearings - and those bearings are a higher grade than generic bearings. They are the same grade as you'd find in electric motors.
There's a big difference in stress loading for roller skate bearings versus wheel bearings.
There are both bad and good product coming out of China and Taiwan - the problem is knowing the good from the bad... you pay your money, you take your chance.

Back your accusations up. Just because they are made in china doesn't mean they are not at least comparable quality to OEM or better. I'll be more then happy to read about quality issues, premature failures, etc.
Of course you are correct. I say buy them instead of a name brand and put them in your bike (not mine). You may be able to save enough money to buy a 6 pack. Whatever you do, don't buy a brand like All Balls, Timken, FAG, NSK, SKF, or Koyo. Those companies all have proven track records of superior products. These simply will not do when you can take a chance with an unknown brand of bearing that may fail and send you skidding down the highway on your ass.
