more swingarm stuff was created by stevie g
I know this is just my own thoughts but does anyone else think the kz1000 ltd and CSR swingarm looks too short ? don't get me wrong I think it's a beautiful bike, just that the back end could do with an extra couple of inches. I think it would look so much nicer. Anyway I'm drifting. Does anyone know of any swingarm that is a bit longer, same or near width at the pivot and preferably alloy that would fit either a LTD or a CSR ? It wouldn't matter if it was monoshock as that can easily be sorted by just welding on lugs for twin shocks. thanks guys, $tevie

A gs1100 swingarm is about 1 1/2" longer and goes on with only a small amount of work. It's an aluminum arm and you will need to use GS shocks with clevis on bottom or cut off stock mounts and weld on new ones for a KZ. There are some on here that have done this swap so I'll let them say what needed to be done to mount it up beings I haven't done it personally.

Is it a specific model suzuki gs1100 ? I've looked on both the UK and USA ebay sites and cannot find any with a twin shock setup. Only ones on the UK site are for shaft drive and on the USA site are monoshock, $

I believe the swingarm I'm talking about is off about a 1980-82 maybe later GS1100. Lots of guys on here have used one. Fairly simple add-on. Now...most suzuki arms work on a KZ...even off some of the newer mono-shock arms. Main concern is the front pivot tube length. Suzuki arms are fairly close to right size. I think you need to add a small spacer on each side to make it work and depending on model arm, weld on a couple shock mounts. I tried to find a picture of one but couldn't but I know someone on here has a picture they could download, if they would. Can one of you guys who have one on your bike post a picture so he can see what it looks like?

you are looking for the 1980 thru 1983 Suzuki GS1100E/ES swing arms ,they are about 1 1/2 inch longer than a stock z/kz arm. share the same pivot bolt o.d. . couple of shims, one on each side of the pivot tube, add shock mounts or use suzuki shock. lots of people have done this swap......... :woohoo:

I'm finding a lot of GSX1100 F swingarms on the UK ebay site and they are 230mm at the pivot and 650mm overall length. Would that be the same as a GS1100 ?? I'm not sure if the UK models are called different to the USA models, same as we have Z over here, you have KZ
