I just saw these in the dennis kirk catalog:
I was thinking I could clamp two of these on my front forks and just bolt some turn signals on some stems right onto them.
Has anyone tried these ?

Pennsylvania has an annual vehicle safety inspection. For my car it means that my tires have to be good, no rust throught the body into the passenger compartment, etc. (last inspection dinged me for windshield wipers). This also includes that I have to have my motorcycle inspected annually. Overall, not a bad thing, however, I don't think it keeps the Hardley riders any safer (even if your brake pads are good, it doesn't mean they will stop the bike any quicker)--there is a whole lot of them around here. I lived in Wisconsin most of my life and, I kid you not, there are more of those noisey things here then there.

Bracket close up:
At the botton of the bolt that clamps the lamp to the bar you can see the ground lug. When I put the lamps back on the handlebar, I had to cut that lug off and solder a new one in place so the wire could go through the mounting post.

I picked up a KZ 900 Ltd light bracket. I liked the way it showed more fork and looked cleaner. Then I got a couple of cheap mini-directionals from D.Kirk. Used the directional stalks to fix headlight to bracket. Been on a couple of years and they stay put.

I paid $6 US each for my turnsignals, front and rear

thats pretty cheap.....i have dual filament on the front for running lights and single filament on the rear, and the single's were cheaper. Are yours dual or single?? And where did you get them?

dual filament front and rear, bought them at the local Farm and Home/true value store. They're just pedestal mount trailer lights. The fronts are actually double sided too, you can get single sided red ones and put amber lenses on them for the front. If you don't use hand signals in the day time, that might actually be smart..the sun shines right through mine in the early evening, and you can't see em really well if the sun is to my back and you're facing me.

I have a set of the stock ears around here and Im sure I have a set of signals around. In a few weeks Im going to be switching over my stock signals so I can definately come up with something if you need it.
Mark, how visible are those signals on the reflector mounts? From the pic I see they look alot like the set I have that I want to put on.
