I also bought a replacement cover from the same person as missionkz and the craftsmanship and quality is good for a daily rider, it is not good for a restoration project, but for the money it costs you cant beat it
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I wanted something out of the ordinary, so I sketched out the design I wanted on a piece of paper, & took my seat to a local Auto/Marine upholstery shop & picked out some Marine grade Vinyl, & told him where I wanted the embroidery placed....he charged me 100.00 for material & labor & 35.00 for the embroidery work...I was happy for 135.00

Thanks guys. I've seen the one on ebay and for the price I considered ordering one but really wanted a seat/foam combo. I'm about to run out to a local upholstery shop and see what they'll charge me to do mine.
That's an awesome looking seat. Little much for my taste but it's a great example of the kind of work an upholstery shop can do these days. Nice job.
Thanks again guys.
Robert

Just got back from the upholstery shop. The dude is obviously on crack or something. Told me just to recover my seat with my foam would be $295 bucks.   I don't know what came over me but I couldn't stop myself from laughing in his face. Told him he's got to be kidding. Naturally he said he wasn't. Claimed that was what he charges for pleated marine vinyl and labor. For him to stitch the pleats would be more. Plus any foam repair or an optional gel pack ($50 bucks) installed under the vinyl.
Not happening. That ole fart in his little tin building can starve to death for all I care. Lol.
