Thanks, rather than go for a stock bike, I tried to make it the bike I would have wanted it to be in 1978, I really like the look of the non stock alloys and the black paint job that wasn't available from the factory with the 1977 gold stripe decals. It still makes me feel "warm and fuzzy" just looking at it
An even poorer picture of the other side, it has a weird reflection on the tank, but it shows the GPZ 550 rear disc I used on my rear police wheel, I like the way it doesn't "dominate" the rear wheel like the stock one did on the 16" Lester rear the bike came to me with.

Nice job and congratulations for getting it on the road. IMO, that warm fuzzy feeling is really important. If it doesn't make you smile every time you look at it, it won't get ridden and you will have no patience when facing a frustrating repair.

05 Dec 2016 13:24Check the junctions that supply fuel to the carbs. They have o-rings and when the o-rings deteriorate the fuel flows in the wrong way. Easy to fix once you have the parts, available from Z1Enterprises.redhawk4 wrote: You mean like my carbs that have a mysterious fuel leak which I can't find?

I just changed those, because they were leaking, but it still seeping from somewhere, float heights are correct etc. so it shouldn't be leaking anywhere. Is it possible for a float bowl to be porous?
