This guy at Sargent is being a bit of a pain in the a$$. I gave him a picture of the seat I'd be sending and a picture of the gunfighter. I just want mine to look like the gunfighter and he wants sketches and dimensions. They should know how to make something that looks decent. I didn't think I'd have to draw an exact blueprint. I don't know what dimensions to go with anyway. Just make it like the Corbin!!
Anyway,if we don't get things straightened out here real soon I'll be going elsewhere for my seat work.

The ones I had done are much more comfortable than stock, especially on long rides. The stock one was too mushy. I recently rode a stock version of my bike and couldn't stand the seat.

Ok 79MKII I called up to Rayco, Lee is retired but I spoke with a guy named Rick and he said they do bike seats all the time. I asked him if he is familiar with the Corbin Gunfighter seat and he said he is. I explained to him your problems with Sargent and he said to have you come by. Their phone # is 216-741-5240. I don't know where in Cleveland you are located but he is I believe on Brookpark rd. close to I-480. Hope this helps.
The nice thing about using a local guy is he can form up the foam and you can check it out before he covers it and then make any adjustments you want. That would be a little hard to do if you send it to Sargents.

How in the world do you guys stand looking at those seats? Ick. I'd have to be Stevie Wonder to have one of them. I suppose comfort comes before looks, that's the understatement of the year.

Hey Gringo, Thanks for the info! I'm a pretty good haul from there (about 45 minutes), but I'll look into it. I finally made some progress with sargent today, but if I knew someone local could do as nice a job, I'd do it. Thanks again for the help.

Can get you a quote if interested.
p.s. in PA so at least a bit closer to OH

Yea, if he can make it look like a gunfighter, I'd be interested in a price. Do you have any pictures of his work?

Hi Bob - that seat looks really good. Corbin and Sargent use the same material for a lot of their seats. It looks like he does really nice work. Does he buy covers or does he actually custom cut the material and make his own cover? I would want custom foam work and it would need a custom cover to fit. If you have a chance, PM me with a price. Thanks!
By the way, if you have a chance to look at your corbin gunfighter, could you please let me know how high it is right at the top of the rise? (from where the rider sits to the top of the backrest before the solo part)
Thanks again

I have a Gunfighter on my 77 1000 and the height you're asking about is 4 3/4 inches on mine. Let me know if I can help with any other dimensions.
