I think every bike should be able to carry SOME payload. My 900 LTD is an example of EXTREME nakedness, while the Voyager is like a convertable car (yes, it even has a radio).
I love the clean look of the 900, but, unless I use a backpack, I can't bring my lunch to work. I'm working on getting a luggage rack from The Gringo.

A hard trunk is a vey nice option. they do look funny on a bike that does not have saddle bags. The trunk on my HD is HUUUGE!!!, personally had 8 large pizzas in it. i got one of the GIVI knock-offs from eBay. it was 80 dollars deleivered. and i will say you do get what you pay for, pay little get little quality, but it does work. quick release scared me, i drilled four holes and bolted it down. i am pretty sure it would have fallen off on the first ride.
and i also love my radio, i drive my bike near exclusively in the summer, i feel that i should have the same comforts as my car, radio, cd player, cruise control and all that stuff. there is the "image" of the sound of the open road and all that stuff, but if i am stuck in traffic or riding to work, a little music is pretty nice

What I think I'd really like to find is pretty much whats on the photo in the gallery
kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_ponygal...&func=detail&id=1491
Not so much the front fairing, I like the looks of mine with just the windshield, but the bags I want!
Sort of a set of hard sided police bags..... anyone know where those come from?and if they are still available?
I think those are lockable too.
Thanks.

Yuck. We will just have to agree to disagree then.
I ride my bike because it is a bike, and it is not a car with two wheels.
Ride on!

It all comes down to personal choice. I ended last season with hard bags. This season I'm using a magnetic tank bag and love it!

Wanna sell those hardbags if you still have them?
Thats about what I've settle on I think are the ones on the first photo...
I bought a bag today, more of a tank bag I think, but with it on the rear, I cant get my leg over the bag and the bike!
Whats the secret for getting on the 750 with the hard trunks? Maybe I'm just using the wrong mounting style since I've always been used to dirt bikes (I always swing my right leg over the back while standing on the ground on the left of the bike with it on the side stand...), but with a bag on there I cant... I'm about avg hight I thought..
The soft bag I picked up today doesnt really fit the back of the seat right anyway, I think its more of a tank bag. I havent tried it on the tank yet, but I've never ridden with a tank bag and dont know if I'd like it up there....

Scott, I'll be holding on to those hard bags. They are hard to find.
I found with them on, as the rack mounts along with them, that I couldn't swing my leg over the back either. You have to put your leg up and over the seat from the side. Like you'd be stabbing someone with your leg.
