Being new, if you put some info in your signature like where you live, year and model etc. That way when you ask a question people have a better idea than just general terms. I say this to save you grief later. Once again welcome.

yeah, hes a good guy. I haven't picked the bike up yet but my wife took pictures when she was visiting for the holiday. I have VIN and engine numbers. The first three in the vin are Z1F (year?) and engine Z1E.
Welcome and to gain more info on your bike (or your wife's bike) go to www.zedder.com , click on 'bike info' and follow the links to KZ900...your frame and motor VIN's will fall out by year:)
