New member Bobber build was created by Spratz
Well this is my first time posting. I recently picked up a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650C it is my first KZ i have ever owned and the first bobber build i have ever attempted. The couple questions I have are the ignition key does any company make a replacement that I can mount else wear (I am removing the Speedo and tac Assembly) Has anyone had any luck with the air intake box removal and replacement with pod filters? Forward controls were can I get some that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. I think that's about it for right now.
And if anyone needs stock 1978 KZ650 parts let me know what you need i might be willing to part with some. Bars, shocks, Guage cluster, signals ect.

He already cut off the rear of the frame. Be sure to weld on some cross-bracing.
DimeCityCycles may have forward controls n stuff, but I doubt that there's anything cheap there or anywhere else.
You might want to do all of the routine maintenance before spending any time or money on the extraneous stuff.
Kawasaki service manual. new battery. engine oil & oil filter. air filter. brakes. forks. etc etc etc.
PS: save the frame tail piece so the next guy can weld it back in place, but the frame is probably ruined. or someone else might could use it.
