Yo from Vancouver!
Just bought my second 82 Gpz 750. The first was the only bike I ever had that I bought new. I destroyed that one a few times and sold it in 85. Now older and wiser I am looking forward to be back on an upgraded 82 Gpz.

I'd rather be on my bike thinking about god than in church thinking about my bike.

Welcome. I've had my GPz750 R1 for 12 years now. They are great bikes.

That was my first “big” bike, and the most fun one overall (so far). I’d have one now no doubt except that they are pretty rare.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. In '82, I was at Burnaby Kawasaki, having a service done on my KZ1000A1. The sales guy handed me the keys to a GPZ750 and told me to take it for a ride. I headed straight up Burnaby Mtn., to SFU (before the road was ruined). Wow! The difference between the handling on that bike and mine was incredible! I couldn't believe how well it tracked, rock steady the whole way. When I got back to the shop, he met me at the door with a big grin on his face, certain that he'd just made a sale. I just thanked him, handed back the keys and told him "I'd never keep my licence with that bike!" I think of that ride every time I hear Lou Reed's "New Sensations".

Back in the saddle and loving it! KZ1000A1

After having a hard time fending of RD350’s with my Z500A1 in 1982 (the year I turned eighteen) I swapped to a secondhand Gpz750 for the 1983 season and it never happened again.
Sold it like you back in 1990, bought my second in 2015.

It wasn't a demo, was it?:)

The bike I bought from Burnaby Kawi was as the beginning of 82 at the bike show so no it was not a demo.
