She should have ridden was created by Qdude
I have spent much time on this site.

I felt it was ok to mention here the passing of the best person I knew.

I spent many days in the hospital with her recently. The cancer. The aftermath.

We were an hour late to talk with her, but she knew we were there. She would not respond to the nurses, she had not the strength. But she waited for us. All four of us, my brothers were there to be with her. She was drowning in the fluid collecting in her lungs and could not talk. But she responded to us. She responded to us as best as she could at the time. Undeniably.

We were there when she went. My younger brother and I, taking after her in looks and attitude, on either side. My twin behind me and older bro behind younger bro. Touch means so much.

She had us all there.

I miss my Mom. I miss her so much.

She passed at 10:30 in the morning today.

I will remember her love. You can take that with you you know. I will share it with everyone I meet. Inspirationally.

I am changed...

Sorry...

This day will probably come for me as well, as my mother has been a long-term smoker and has already battled cancer once in her life..

All we can do is ride on in honor...

Now the journey becomes easier for her...and yours becomes harder...until you meet again. Celebrate her life.

There are times in our lives that those that have loved us, and nurtured us, eventually pass on. And when it does happen, it leaves an empty feeling inside that seems like it will never go away, no matter how hard we try to fill that void.
In actuality, those that have gone before us, have left something for each and every one of us to fill that empty space. And that is the legacy to give to others what they have given us..the memories, the nurturing, and most of all, the love they have shared.
God Bless and Godspeed

Very,VERY sorry to hear that,Dude.:(

We're having a Birthday-Party(BB-Q) for My Mom today, and I'll be sure to tell her how much I love her.

Your write-up really touched me...that was beautiful.

I lost one of my best friends to cancer, just before Christmas...and the same as you(and your family)...Mike(a.k.a. Crash) KNEW I was there, but could not respond.
I told him that I would stop in after work tomorrow, but if he had to go in the meantime, that I would see him when I got "There",and the 2 of us would do beers.
I got home, and within minutes, the phone rang...it was his Wife, phoning me to thank me for being there, and that Mike was gone.(She showed up at the hospital just as I was leaving, but I didn't see her)
Although I can't shake his paw,or hug him,He's in my garage, and we have beers every weekend.B)

My sincere condolences to you and your family,Dude.
May she rest in peace...

Qdude, you are blessed. As are all of us who have known men and women who taught us to live without fear of life or death, to love mightily, and to greet death with regret at leaving loved ones behind, but no fear of the crossing, knowing the great hope we have in the life to come. I believe your Mom can see your sorrow, and your joy, masked though it be by tears, and would be very proud of you.

I pray the Lord eases the pain of her departure for you and always reminds you of the joy of the meeting to come.

Having been through this with my mom last July I know how you feel. Time helps but the loss will never go away. Remember the positive and God bless your family.
