It's not mine, I don't know the seller, and I probably can't afford it. Beautiful bike, though:

Lots of photos but mostly from a distance.  There are a half dozen Z1's up for sale in the upcoming Mecum auction later this month.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

If anyone on this site was interested I could go and take a look at bike for you.

I am only a few towns away.  Could even help with shipping or delivery if it works out.

Send me a PM and I will try and get a hold of guy.

This bike bid to $21.6k last week, did not meet reserve.
Bikes get the best bid first time listed then less after that.
Z1 prices are down, prices peaked in 21 and 22.

Why is it with almost every early "Z" for sale listing the seller is compelled to go thru a history lesson of the bike?  It gets old having to read for the umpteeth time about this bike and sometimes their history lesson isn't all that correct.  Is there some unwritten rule that says any early "Z" for sale must include a history lesson of the bike?  Asking for a friend....

Let's face it, if your going to buy one you should pretty much know the history and what's wrong or right about the particular example your looking at. I don't think that people shell out that kinda dosh without at least knowing something about them unless their stupid.

People in the auction gallery on the day are bidding with emotions and some times peer pressure, if a "expert" were sitting right beside them he would say "don't bid on it", this is pending on a in person walk up of the bike in question. Personally I would not do my homework. You can "Google" just about anything these days in less than a minute.

If you can't verify dates/times on parts that make up the whole of the bike then buyer beware. If you have deep pockets and can't bother to build a "proper" bike then have the cheque book ready.

General Z1 history like New York steak, production started in summer of 72, fast back then ?
Or complete owner history known ?

I've seen the general history of the bike on many ads and wondered why?  It tells nothing about that particular bike.  If I'm looking at the ad I'm interested in that bike.

I'd go out on a limb and say we've probably reached/passed peak Z1 prices.
The market for people who want them (because they had one or always wanted one when they were growing up in the 70s) is shrinking pretty quickly.
