Hi,
I am new to the forum and was hoping for help on bringing a KZ 1300 Tourer that has been standing for 8 years back to life. Bought the bike on-line from a deceased estate - it has 22k kilometres on the clock and looks very good. The seller made no attempt to get it to run, so I want to proceed slowly and carefully to bring it back to life. Any help would be appreciated- plan to work on it over the Christmas holidays. I am in Sydney Australia. Thanks very much.

Sweet ride.

Personally, I would do all of the routine maintenance listed in the service manual, then toss in a new battery and a set of tires, then start terrorizing the countryside.

Thanks. Yes it is a time capsule for sure. Bit worried about all that weight at low speed. Was half considering removing the fairing.  Not sure if it is possible to do that in a reversible way?

HI Kawa,
Welcome to KZrider.com ! I'm the webmaster here and at KZ1300.com. You can certainly post here about your 1300 but there are resources over there you shouldn't be with out and I'm not just talking about the members.
Allow me to date my self but it appears the the Langoliers have started their attack in your neighborhood. Just a joke !
Welcome to Z Jungle.
