Hello KZ Riders, as my nickname can suggest I am a big Moto Guzzi fan and owner but I just purchased a beautiful 1981 GPZ1100 that needs some restoration, that will be in the garage with my Griso.
I just received the bike and I have yet to fully understand what is that she needs but I can tell it was not used in at least 15/20 years. In the picture the side cover is not its but a replacement since it was missing, it will need to be painted in black like the rest of the bike (which I believe it not his original color, but it looks great nonetheless).

To start, I would like to know where I can find some owners or service manuals I can download so I can start looking at it (I can't even find the battery or where it is supposed to be :D ) but they will also be useful to my mechanic. I am sure that I will have more questions further on and I am sure that the forum will be helpful!

Enjoy the holidays, ride safe!

Welcome from the UK, you can find manuals in the “file base” (icon at the top of the page)

Welcome to KZRider. We would all like to see photos of your new motorcycle. Unless the previous owner has opted for a battery-less system, the battery will be under the seat (which must be removed to access the battery).  Wookie58 suggested you look under the filebase tab for the shop manual download. If the motorcycle did not come with an owners manual, then they are available on eBay in English.  I do know the owners manuals for the Z1100-B1 were also published in German and French, so I suspect they were also published in Italian.
