Now that I have received my government Coronavirus check. I have been debating on how to send it!!!! Should I spend it on some model kits I really really have always wanted to buy, or buy more fancy titanium fasteners for my MK.II.

Had my eye on that 4 foot tall Revell Saturn V rocket model kit for a few years now. Or I could do all the engine cover fasteners in titanium and the rest of the chassis fasteners in Ti22 too!!!!!!

DECISIONS!!!! DECISIONS!!!!

OR!!!!!

Stay away from the dust catcher kits, buy the titanium fasteners.

Well they didn't put my Superbike on the cover of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Magazine, but they did print my article that I wrote about my restoration of my KZ1000 Superbike. It was only a four page article with my own story line. I posted here each page so if anyone wants to read the article, they can. Or you can join VJMC and receive their magazine with my article in it!!!!!

You can see in the very last paragraph of article about my Superbike and it winning KZR's Bike Of The Year voted by its members back in 2018!!!!

First two pages. Like that fancy title for article!!!!

Final two pages of article.

Hope you can read the start of article here.

Second page of article.

Final page of article.

That's really cool Bob, too bad you didn't make the front cover, what were they thinking, great story regardless.
I notice you had a lot more hair back then ;)

Nice spread Bob..
I miss the balls mostly LOL
My personal experience with VJMC members is they are drawn to the smaller bikes at shows ( Ask Les Holt )
So to get such high praise as a feature article is awesome
Be Well Dave

Hey Dave, I don't think it was the feature article in that issue. They had a bigger write up on the restoration of a SL350 honda in the same issue!!!!!

You are right many of the older members are more into honda MiniTrails, 305 Dreams, Sandcast CB750's, and very old smaller bikes.

It does seem lately that they are getting more and more into other brands and models!!!!

I have heard of horror stories in the past about riding or racing on magnesium wheels like the old Morris wheels or Dymag wheels that are over 10 to 15 years old. The failure rate on these vintage wheels seems to be getting higher and higher as the years go by. The Morris magnesium wheels on my Superbike are now 41 years old!!!!

Since I am just too old to have another high speed crash, plus I can't afford the huge amount of ca$h to buy a set of those pretty Marvic copies of the Morris mags. My Superbike has officially become a static display in my living room!!!!!

Now if someone wants to start a GoFund page so I can afford a set of those fancy Marvic Morris copies. It would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Latest vintage road racer that had a Morris magnesium wheel come apart at speed!!!!

Check out this billet aluminum oil pump for Kz1000's!!!!!! I believe it is for the J model or the ELR. My kickstart Kz1000 motor does not have the relief valve in the oil pump body. I can't read Japanese so I really don't know exactly what model 1000's it fits. It looks pretty cool. I am going to put it on my wish list for sure!!!

That one is for a J/GPZ type motor.
I have a billet one for my earlier KZ based turbo build .
It's in the center of the attached pic.
It has wider gears for 40 % extra flow with extended pickup to suit the Egli style deep sump.
These are made to order from Turbomaxx in Germany.
Price is currently a hefty 1000 euro .
