Come to find out the mounting holes for the risers smaller then the mounting bolts. I have to take everything apart, drill the holes bigger, then reassemble.

I have found the header I want to use, It's a Murray, Sending it out to be coated and polished.

After drilling the proper size holes, mounted the risers and bars.

My pipe has been ceramic coated and polished. Does any body have information on what is the best way to mount? In pieces or as one unit?

I have tried to install the pipe onto the bike, hard to get all four pipes to align with the exhaust ports correctly.

Could try first removing the header pipes from the collector, and installing each header pipe individually just barely tightened enough to align it within the port (without mashing against the crush washer) in hopes of allowing each header pipe some slight move-ability. Next separate the collector from the muffler (to make the collector easier to handle) and insert the "moveable" header pipes into the collector. Then tighten the header clamps into the exhaust ports snug enough to compress the crush washers. This should leave the header pipes torqued into the exhaust ports and fitted into the collector for a basically completed installation except for the muffler. Lastly, attach the muffler to the collector, and hang the muffler (fashioning a hanger bracket as needed).

I have long enjoyed using a small rubber motor mount between the muffler and hanger bracket, which eliminates most of the muffler vibration from transferring to the frame, and which makes a very noticeable difference when riding.

If the ceramic coating has resulted in too tight of a fit for the pipes into the collector and/or the collector into the muffler, an automotive muffler shop can quickly and easily expand each female opening very slightly without any visible indication.

Thanks for the advise Patton, I will try installing the pips one by one, the ceramic coating did not interfere with the mounting. no need for a muffler shop. just a little time and patience should do.

I have installed the header. I also needed to make a small bracket for the rear mount.
