I have a 78 ltd and a 78 A model and both corners are square. The B model was April, the A model was March. Both from Nebraska.

Is vin on sticker on the same side as the stamped steering tube number. Or is the vin number on sticker on opposing side.

Hey ronnieV,

I'm currently starting in on my 77 ltd 1000 as well. Not going to be as full as yours as I'm not going all the way down to a bare frame, but I will keep an eye on your progress and see if I can pick up any other little replacements and upgrades for mine.

And to chime in on the previous discussion, I just looked at my frame sticker. I believe mine is the stock sticker and if you were sitting on the bike and leaned to the right you would be able to read the info, and half of my sticker corners are round and half are squared.

My sticker seems to be fairly centered from side to side.
When reading it; the bottom right corner is squared, the bottom left and top right are rounded. The top left has been worn off from a cable.
