I just got back from a 1600 mile road trip from texas to oklahoma, arkansas and back. Had an increadable time. Dodged all the predicted rain except for a couple of sprinkles. The 93 ZR1100 did great. Just before the trip I installed Dunlop D220 tires that performed perfectly. When on the wet roads they stuck like glue. I also installed new turnsignals, Luggage rack, chain & sprockets, (went 1 bigger on the front and loved the new gearing), valve cover gasket, TomTom GPS, and oil change.

left Houston and went to:
Dallas, Tx
Paris, Tx
Hugo, Ok
BrokenBow, Ok
Heavener, Ok
Spiro, Ok
Fort Smith, Ar
Fayetteville, Ar
Gateway, Ar
Eureka Springs, Ar
Elkins, Ar
the increadable SR-16, SR-23 & Route 7
Mountain Grove, Ar
Danville, Ar
Hot Springs, Ar
Lake De Gray
Caddo Vally, Ar
Malvern, Ar
Hope, Ar
Marshall, Tx
Nacogdoches, Tx
Livingston, Tx
Huntsville, Tx
then home ward bound :)

Good to hear from you, I haven't seen you on here in a while.

How many days did you spread those 1600 miles over? I just rode down to Lawton and back in two days, OK on my KLR650, about 400 miles each way. I wasn't in too bad shape, but I'd probably not want to put too many more miles than that in one trip.

I'd like to do something like your trip sometime this summer. I've been trying to figure out the load plan so I can camp out the whole way rather than stay in hotels.

Sounds like a nice trip. Thanks for sharing and good to see you back on the board.

Now, I wonder how that Krazy Klown (KLACKO) is doing these days? Have you heard from him lately?

I havent heard from KLACO in ages, I hope all is well with him. Maybe he is lurking in the shadows :)

Visited Greg (Arai59) in dallas, he is doing good and building a killer looking KZ1000 with a 75 900 waiting in the wings to be next.
