Came back one time to find my bike at a 45 deg angle and the sidestand sunk 2" into some patch asphalt. The stuff that had been professionally installed (steam rolled) holds things up better, the patch/fill stuff is the dicey stuff.

I'm surprised with the center stand it didn't just sink till the tires touched down and just sat there.

When I lived in Arizona, the company I worked for had a special place in the parking lot for motorcycles. Each m/c spot had a metal plate, maybe 8 x 10 inches, for your kickstand. Without that plate, you didn't DARE leave it on the kickstand. When it's 120 in the shade, I wonder what the asphalt temp is?
