I would have yelled too. No excuse for bad manners. I don't care where you are from, that's not ignorance, that's straight disrespect. In Texas you could have legally shot him for trying to steal your bike

I would've whopped him up side the head with a tennis shoe and told him it would be a tire iron if he did it again. -Duck

when I was in Iraq in the early 90's I came out of a store that we had popped into and as I was coming out I saw a man walk up to another and cram a pistol barrel down his throat and pull the trigger.(it got really messy) Come too find out the man doing the shooting owned the little Honda Cub that was parked by the wall and the now deceased gentleman has ACCIDENTALLY bumped into it causing it to fall over and break a mirror, the really sad part was the guy shot him not because of the mirror but because it's common knowledge in that part of the country that you don't get that close to anyone's personal conveyance's without permission. Makes you think a little does'nt it ???B) B) B)

That's exactly the reason I quit riding my good bikes to work. People were sitting on them quite frequently, some I knew, some I'd never seen in my life. Some of them had that wonderful dismount where their shoe scuffs the seat or bodywork. Also I hate it when a motorcycle gets dusty and some moroon runs his fingers over the dusty tank. I still have scratches on my 1000MKII from this and I think I only rode it to work like 3 times. That's all it took. This is the reason I just ride my junky KZ650 anymore, don't have to worry.

Now if they would all shoot each other life would be much more pleasant.

Sorry, got caught up in the moment....

My first reaction would be to ask him how the bike felt. Then hit him with the tazzer. Then ask him how that felt. Kinda like training with dog shock collars.

Bet he wouldn't do it again.

It seems that he doesn't need a job working on others bikes if he can't respect other peoples property, of course an ass-whipping goes a long way toward learning respect as well.

It never crossed my mind that you would not ask the owner for permission. What the hell was he thinking?

The rule in its simplest form goes something like this -- Don't screw with my family or my property (some may say the two are interchangeable).
