Z1R perhaps? was created by CruisingRam
Says "1980 KZ1000" - obviously is a MkII motor, has been laid down, perhaps a couple times- handle bars definately don't go there- I am pretty sure that that head light bezel/visor thing is not stock- exhaust is V&H, and looks like it has the wrong exhaust holders on it.

Well, help with the ID guys? I say "Z1R" because of the tank- little help?

Not a Z1R. Looks like the jetting is LEAN. I've never seen pipes blue that far back. Looks like they would hit the tire under braking.

They suck- those headers that is- BTW- thanks for the ID guys- but those headers are drag race headers- NOT for corners! Those are V&H track headers- really suck for the street. I am going to offer to sell them for him on e-bay- and let hm use one of my old dented, but looks as good- four into 1s.

My First MkII !!

I can't imagine those are the correct bars- anyone have a pic of what they SHOULD look like?

Those pipes are not attcahed correctly. Let me see if I an explain this. The bottom of the pipes should run parallel to the frame of the bike under the engine. As you can see the pipe is pointing at an angle. If the pipe were longer it would eventually touch the ground. As you can see they hve either bent the pipe or mounted a bent piece so it will clear the brake pedal. That is why the pipe is angled like it is. You can not use a stock brake pedal with those pipes. You have to have a custom pedal mounted. That might be why the pipes are so blued. If the pipes are angled then they might not be seated in the head all the way which will mess up the mixture.

I totally follow you- because I came to the same conclusion myself last night- hell, they don't even have it hooked up at the head right! ;)

I am getting it running as a "swap" deal.

So, I am getting it running anyway.
