Head gasket seems OK. Need to focus on the carbs.

The carbs on my bike seem to need synchronizing whenever I change anything on my engine, besides the oil.
Maybe RS34 carbs are just fussier than those VM33's.  I've never played around with them, but would like to someday.

Hopefully the head casket is good. After the second exhaust gasket was installed in #1 it wasn’t looking likely it was the exhaust, especially with the popping and the “no idle” issue. So with the head gasket ruled out, hopefully it’s an intake problem… we’re pulling for ya Steve.

Didn't replace exhaust gaskets. It was popping before the rebuild. We'll see.

Probably needs one step thinner shim on that #2 intake valve you were having trouble with the other day. Good to check them all again when installing your new cam cover gasket.

Hoping to hear Bossie roar down that old highway again soon.

I have 1.0 where it calls for 1.2. I have a drill coming for the other three.
I ordered new intake flanges. $76 and change delivered.
