Last month a 72 H2 sold at auction on Mecum for a record $51K!    I just want to say thank you to you fellers for convincing me to buy my friends barn find basket case 72 H2.  I almost let it go, now, wow, glad I bought it for a mire $2100.00 with three engines.   I bought it for me, to restore and ride, but now it might be my retirement.

Also that crazy fake 74 JDM Z2 for 85K???

I still have a 1974 I've owned for 45yrs that I paid $1000 for. The older I get, the more I don't understand the attraction and value of any old motorcycle or car for that matter. I keep all mine though for some reason.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

They are collectors, my guess.   I like riding, and if a bike can't be ridden I get rid of it.  I like modern bikes, but a lot of them are crazy expensive and expensive to insure.   I would love to get a MV Agusta Brutali 1000 or Indian FTR Carbon or a BMX R1250RS or even a Kawasaki Z900RS, all are $12K and up.   I pay $125.00 a year to insure 5 street bikes.  Just one of the expensive ones is $200.00 a month and they go up from there.   Maybe one day.
