Scrambler exhaust?

The screens will catch sticks, dead birds and such, but will not keep any of the sand and dirt that the tires kick up out of the engine. Some folks run open stacks on the street, but I would be really reluctant to do that on dirt roads. K&N, APE and Uni make good individual filters.

You should be able to find some decent used shocks in the stock, or very slightly longer, length for not too much more.

First welcome to the fun, at least that is what  I say to new members. Sorry for the rude welcome from others, as you can tell some here have very strong opinions, does not mean you are not welcome, at least from me.  One of the first bikes , not the first, but early on in my bike experience was a Honda 160 with both pipes up high on the left hand side. I did like the look and would be interested in seeing something like them on a 650. Look as I see it we all come here in attempt to learn that which we do not as of yet know and share that which we either think we know or do in fact know.
Welcome to the fellowship of old Kawasaki owners.

Welcome!  We are not mean spirited here, members are willing to help, and I see you have gotten some tough replies so far.  I would suggest that the intentions were to steer you in a different direction before you end up with problems.  Don't be discouraged, this is a good bunch of guys and we like all older Kawasakis.
