On these pages and other sites where Ivar and I crossed paths, it always brought a smile to my face to see he responded to some post I made. He was one of the first people I communicated with on KZR and his demeanor and knowledge made me decide that KZR was a good place to make into my "hang-out" online. If it wasn't for Ivar, many of my KZ400 questions would still be mysteries to me. He was a friend and colleague who can never be replaced. I will miss him dearly.

This truly saddens me. I found such a great community through Odd Ivar's site, kz400.com. He brought many great people together across the entire world and will be missed by all of them.

I will miss him, I had hoped to go to Norway when I retire someday and meet him personally.

As I said before, Ivar was one of the good ones, there are far too few good men in this world and our loss of him can not be measured! He was a true gentleman and I am proud to have known him as well as one can over the internet. My condolences to his family and close friends.

This is the saddest photo for me... Ivar's bike, helmet and gloves... but no Ivar...

i was really hoping for a happier ending to this thread.
for the few things i read about him he was a real stand up guy and it appears the world lost another good one.
the only condolence his family and us, his extended family has is that he now is in a place where the sun is always shiny, the roads are twisty and your tank is always full.
rest in peace fellow rider.
my heart goes out to his family in these trying times.

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.
