It saddens me to read posts like this - and please accept my condolences on your loss.

My mum died of colon cancer in 1991 but there is hardly a day goes by that I do not miss her. Unfortunately, I really didn't realize until she died that I was always her "little boy". Mums are amazing, they look after us and nurture us in a way no other can replicate. We remain in their care, no matter what, until they leave us. I am happy that you were able to be with her at the end - it is something I wish I could have done. However, move forward, and take the memory of her with you - she will always be in your heart!

I was riding with a friend yesterday and i was going to show him the house that i was raised in the when i was young.
The house was built in one day by the people that my dad worked with. His boss paid everyones wages and they built the house instead of thier regular job. The cost was $875.00 for the material.
When we rode by the house was gone. It upset me. All those memories of living there started comming back to me.

My Mom is elderly and not in goood health. I don't believe i'll tell her about the house.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your loss.

As we grow older the memories we have seem to grow in importance. They are the ballast that keeps me upright when troubles come my way.

You always have the memories.

God Bless. Roy

Sorry to here of your loss. My Dad passed 7 years ago as a result of a motorcycle accident and I wasn't able to see him in his last weeks let alone moments. I was devastated.
I'll never forget my mother's tender words as I sobbed with quilt, sorrow and pain. "Luke, god never deals you anything he doesn't think you can handle." Those words still ring in my mind every day. Celebrate the life of the woman who made you who you are, everyday, with a smile!

Best Wishes,
Luke

The service will be Sat. afternoon in about 11 hours. It will go well. The brothers have done well in my opinion.

I imagine I will be as I should be, and I will embrace it.

Thanks all, heartfelt thanks.

my heart goes to you Q, I'm sorry you had to go through that. I am a paramedic and I see a lot of death, but it makes it no easier when its someone you love. in my dealings with the Doctors and nurses that treat these patients, a lot of them say they would prefer to go by cancer. I know it sounds strange, but there are a lot of sudden, traggic ways for people to die. in all of those ways, you don't get to say good-bye to the people you care about. to see there faces, to hold on to them, and to give a last kiss. It's true there is some suffering and pain, but I think that the final moments to be able to do these things would be worth it to me. hug your brothers in her place at the service and after.

and yes she should have ridden.....and does in your heart every time you do.
