old and busted

I busted my right rotator and a broken left ankle, sprained right ankle in 86. Got stuck in the bath tub. The thought of being found naked in there scared the SHT out of me, I got out. Everyone is different. Codeine is the only thing that worked for me. I was taking Tylenol 3 that has Codeine in it. That, beer and Whisky got me through it. I didn't know Tylenol and Alcohol attacks the liver. I caused myself damage as a result. Be careful. Now when the weather changes, I can feel it in my shoulder. When I started riding again they all thought I was nuts. Maybe they're right, It's in my blood.

doc appointment next week for more x rays to see if my fractures are healing :blink: ......thanks for all the healing wishes. ... regards, Old and Busted

Been off work 2 months from multiple fractured foot and returning to work Monday. At first it's just a pain....then you can start moving around a little and it gets better as it goes. Not really much you can do about it so just make the most of it and do what the doc says. You sure don't want to push and do something to set you back and take even longer to heal. Just endure the downtime and get better.

injury update : I went to the doc Monday..... :ohmy: x rays show the fractures are starting to heal. :huh: doc said 1 month before the possibility of surgery . I still have to keep my leg elevated for 18 to 20 hours a day :pinch: . got me a handicapped placard :lol: .....regards , Old and Busted

Do you hang the card on the bike?

I can get one but I don't have the nerve to use one. I park next to the front doors at Stater Bros in the smoking area.

:laugh: no doc told me no bike action...... I could hang it on my walker though :side: looks like no riding for me this summer....... i thought about throwing my leg over a bike yesterday and then thought better of it as my leg was killing me after a couple of hours of being out of bed. regards , Old and Busted

Broke my hand in a fight back in 72 and had just bought a new 750 Honda (should had my butt kicked for not buying a KZ900) ....... was driving me nuts so I modified the cast a little so I could at least get my 1st finger and thumb around the throttle..... could a been in trouble in a panic stop and had to take it easy but at least I could drive it.

Doc was pretty upset with me after he saw it telling me it probably didn't heal right but the xrays showed it to be ok. :laugh: Hoping you heal up quick.
