He left a post on his Facebook page some weeks ago that he was too sick to continue working and would be returning all the engines he was working on except for a couple he intended to finish (yours?). Hope he’s OK.

Damn, That's bad! Larry and I often did not see eye to eye but I know that he provides a good service to his customers.
Larry, if you read this, I'm hoping that you can recover.

I hope that Larry is ok also , I have been trying to contact him for months now but I have not received a reply . I did hear that he had not been well the other day . I went to the town that I was told he lives in to see him and pick up the engines but I could not get and reply to my calls so I left to go to Ohio Swap meet . Thank you for your reply Zaddict now I know what the situation is , if you are talking to Larry tell him that I hope he has a good recovery and please ask him to send me an email dw@allpipegroup.com.au , I am in a position to drive back up to where he lives today and pick the engines up if that suits him . Regards Dale wilkinson

I was just informed of Larry's passing. His input and expertise will be sorely missed. :(
I'll leave it to Hardgun for the details.

Very sad news :( Had no idea his condition was so serious. Last I checked on his site, they didn't know what he had. Was hoping it was something manageable. Rest in Peace Larry Cavanaugh! Your advice and passion for these motorcycles were always respected and appreciated by all!

I personally don't know much. I've had contact with him off and on most of this year for some head work to be done, but he has been ill most of the year. I received a call today from his nephew informing me of his passing yesterday and just wanted to get word out on here so we can give our due respects and condolences to the family.

Sending my condolences.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I revisited his Facebook page, "Canvanaugh Racing Heads". He explains his condition. Rest in peace Larry.
