Now I know she isn't a KZ, but you will have to forgive me. My 650 is in storage back home and all the zyphers I was tryin to buy here went for huge money.

Sooo I have a hyosung 250cc comet that I scored from a guy who had to leave country rather quickly... It has been a great ride and the guy before me took amazing care of it. Well this last weekend me and my woman packed up the bike and took a ride to the next city up. We went to Pohang to see the couple who adpoted a stray dog we fostered. They had come down to Busan to pick him up two months ago. Ok enough background here are some pics and whatnot!

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

bugger, picture size gets me again... off to photo bucket<a

ok does this work... some rice fields we went by on day one.

this is a beach we hit on the cost, just out side the huge industrial city of Ulsan

koreans wear odd things to the beach and in the water...

We stayed over night in the town of Gampo, they don't get many tourists I think...

Me and the girl found a lil watering hole,

My girl made nice with the bar owner...

View from our hotel room...

and me packing up the bike for day 2.

Poor thing she is almost 200K over on her oil change!!!

more of the countryside...

We finally make it to Pohang and get to see Tong (tong means soup in korean, Bo-shin Tang is their famous dog soup...I came up with the name and am very happy his owners kept it!)

After we saw tong we road home, we didn't take photos which was a shame because the roads and the mountains were outstanding. He is the bike parked out side of the Sauna we go to every Sunday after so many hours on that little seat I really needed it this week!!

Nice pix!

Your thread title brought back some memories. I have been to
Busan and Pohang many times. Not on a bike, though. US Navy ship.

Nice photos! Thanks for sharing. Talk to us about Hyosung motorcycles...we are being bombarded with ads but I have only seen a few on the road...after riding one, would you consider owning a Hyosung 650, say?

hyosung made parts for Suzuki before making "their own bikes" and Daelim (they only make 125's right now) did the same for Honda.

Both companies learned as much as they could from the jap bikes then made knock offs (right now daelim makes an exact replica of the honda 125cb, water cooled fuel injected...)

The main problem I notice is the suspension blows! Every bump/pot hole sends me bouncing along. Also is is recommended to change the oil every 500K which rolls around very quickly.

I would love to buy one of the 650's here, or even back home if the price was right. The only issues I have is with the cheap parts added to the bike to keep cost down, the chain and sprocket wear at an unbelievable rate... every 500k with the oil chance it needs to be tightened. The factory tires are a bit like stone, not really rubber. I am guessing they cut corners else where also. But labor is free at most shops here, so whenever there is the littlest problem I just bring it in to have them work on it.

I really enjoy this little 250, she gets up to 120K with out much issue, by my loan some 140 (top of the speedo) is with in reach. I am just looking for some way to measure up to 160K and a nice long road so I can see if she will do the ton (may need a sprocket change to get there...and to take the saddle bags off).
