Shortened ride in IL

I haven't had much luck keeping the twins running this summer until the last week or so. Got up today, looked outside, saw sun and figured I'd go for a short ride. I suited up and headed over to a friends house to drag him out too. On my way, I saw another friend in his driveway so I honked and slowed down. As a pulled the clutch in to downshift, I felt it go limp! Dang if I didn't snap the cable! Aaarggg! Luckily, he has a big garage to park the bike and he gave me a ride home. I ordered a new cable from Z1 Ent tonight. I'm hoping it gets here pretty quick so I can do a little more riding this fall. Sorry about the rant, but I'm so frustrated with the bikes this summer and I just wanted to ride. Oh, well.
